Zachary was diagnosed with Bardet Biedl Syndrome in 2010. Since then he has become legally blind and uses a mobility cane. He works full time for Lions Services in Charlotte making supplies for the military. Blindness is a part of BBS as well as obesity. In 2017 Zachary started a clinical trial with Dr Robert Haws in Marshfield, WI for what is now Imcivree and has lost over 130 pounds and can now do things he was never able to do before. Bike riding is one of those things which leads us to doing the Rocky Ride to raise money for BBS research which will hopefully lead to a cure for Zachary’s blindness.
